Societatea Nationala de Gaze Naturale Romgaz is a Romanian natural gas company based in Medias. It explores for and produces natural gas from onshore fields, mainly in the Transylvania region, and supplies the fuel to industrial users, gas distributors and households across Romania. The company also runs underground gas storage facilities that help balance seasonal demand. Its business centres on extracting and delivering gas rather than refining or retailing other energy products.
