Formosa Petrochemical Corp is a Taiwanese refining and petrochemical company based in Taiwan. It operates oil refineries and naphtha cracking plants that turn crude oil into refined fuels such as gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, and into basic petrochemical feedstocks including ethylene and propylene. These products are supplied to industrial customers and fuel markets, with much of the output exported. The company is part of the Formosa Plastics Group and carries out much of its manufacturing at the Mailiao industrial complex on Taiwan's west coast.
