Gazprom is a Russian energy company based in Moscow. It explores for, produces, transports and supplies natural gas, and it also handles gas processing, oil and power generation. Its main customers are industrial users, utilities and households in Russia and in export markets, chiefly in Europe, reached through a large pipeline network that the company owns and operates. The Russian state holds a controlling stake in the company.
