Compania de Minas Buenaventura is a Peruvian mining company that explores for, extracts and processes precious metals. It runs underground and open-pit operations in the Andes that produce gold and silver, along with related metals such as lead, zinc and copper. The company sells concentrates and refined metal to smelters and trading houses, and it also holds an interest in a large copper mine. It is based in Lima, Peru.
