Shell is an energy company based in London that explores for and produces oil and gas, refines crude oil into fuels and lubricants, and makes chemicals for industrial customers. It also sells petrol, diesel and other fuels to motorists and businesses through its retail service station network, and trades energy products around the world. Its customers range from households and drivers to airlines, manufacturers and other large industrial buyers.
