Vale is a Brazilian mining company based in Rio de Janeiro. It produces iron ore and iron ore pellets, along with nickel, copper, manganese, ferroalloys and potash. Its customers are steelmakers and industrial buyers around the world, and the company also runs railways, ports and terminals that move its ore and other cargo. Vale operates mines and processing facilities in Brazil and in several other countries, serving global commodity markets.
