Southwest Airlines is a low-cost passenger airline based in Dallas, Texas. It flies mostly domestic routes in the United States, using a single family of aircraft and a point-to-point network rather than a hub-and-spoke system. The airline sells tickets directly to travellers and offers a simple service model with open seating and included checked bags. Its customers are mainly leisure and business passengers flying short and medium-haul journeys within the country.
