About the company

Rainbow Rare Earths is a mining company focused on rare earth elements, the metals used in magnets for electric motors, electronics and other technologies. It is based in Guernsey and works on projects in Africa, including the Gakara rare earths mine in Burundi and the Phalaborwa project in South Africa, where it plans to recover rare earths from phosphogypsum stacks left by earlier phosphate processing. Its customers would be processors and manufacturers that use separated rare earth oxides.
