National Atomic Company Kazatomprom is the state-owned uranium producer of Kazakhstan, based in Astana. It mines natural uranium and processes it into uranium concentrate, which it supplies to nuclear power plant operators and other customers in the nuclear fuel cycle around the world. The company also holds interests in related operations such as uranium conversion and fuel fabrication through partnerships, and it sells its output under long-term contracts as well as on the spot market.
