EssilorLuxottica designs, makes and distributes ophthalmic lenses, frames and sunglasses. Its eyewear brands include Ray-Ban, Oakley, Persol and Oliver Peoples, and it supplies prescription lenses through laboratories and optical retailers. The company also runs retail chains such as Sunglass Hut and LensCrafters, serving consumers directly as well as through opticians and other optical professionals. It is based in Paris, France, with major operations in Italy and around the world.
