Novartis is a pharmaceutical company based in Switzerland that researches, develops and makes prescription medicines. Its products treat conditions in areas such as cancer, heart disease, immunology, neuroscience and eye care, and it also supplies generic drugs through its Sandoz business. Its customers are mainly hospitals, doctors, pharmacies and health systems in countries around the world, and it runs research and manufacturing sites internationally.
