Ameren is a utility holding company based in Saint Louis, Missouri, that provides electricity and natural gas to homes and businesses in the central United States. Through its regulated utility subsidiaries, it generates, transmits and distributes electric power and delivers natural gas to customers in Missouri and Illinois. Its operations cover power plants, transmission lines, distribution networks and gas pipelines serving residential, commercial and industrial users across its service territory.
