Aena is the Spanish airport operator that runs the country's main civil airports, including the hubs serving Madrid and Barcelona. It provides the terminals, runways and air traffic infrastructure that airlines use, and charges carriers for landing, passenger handling and related services. It also earns money from shops, restaurants, car parking and advertising in its terminals, and it holds interests in airports outside Spain. The company is based in Madrid.
