freenet AG is a German telecommunications company based in Büdelsdorf that sells mobile phone contracts and related services to consumers and small business customers. It operates largely as a mobile virtual network operator, reselling network access rather than running its own mobile infrastructure, and it also provides internet and television services, including streaming television, along with device sales through its retail shops. Its customers are mainly private households in Germany who buy bundled communications and entertainment products.
