Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. - Petrobras is a Brazilian energy company controlled by the state. It explores for and produces crude oil and natural gas, with much of its output coming from deep-water offshore fields. The company also operates refineries and produces and distributes fuels and petroleum derivatives, serving customers in Brazil and abroad. Petrobras is headquartered in Rio de Janeiro and is involved in the transport, storage and trading of oil and gas products.
