About the company
Metalurgica Gerdau is a Brazilian holding company that controls the Gerdau group, a steel producer based in Brazil. Through its operations it makes long steel products, including rebar, wire rod and sections, which are used in construction and by industrial customers. The group also produces steel from scrap and iron ore at mills in Brazil and other countries in the Americas, serving builders, manufacturers and distributors.
