VERBUND AG is an Austrian electricity company based in Vienna. It generates power mainly from hydropower stations on Alpine rivers and the Danube, and it also runs parts of the electricity transmission and distribution network. The company supplies electricity to industrial customers, businesses and households, and it trades energy in European markets. Its operations span generation, grid services and energy sales, with a focus on renewable sources of power.
