Merck & Company is a pharmaceutical company based in the United States that discovers, develops and makes prescription medicines, vaccines and animal health products. Its human health business serves patients and doctors through treatments for cancer, infectious disease, diabetes and cardiovascular conditions, while its animal health arm supplies veterinary medicines and vaccines to livestock and pet owners.
