Gold Fields is a mining company based in Johannesburg, South Africa, that explores for, develops and operates gold mines. It runs underground and open-pit operations in several countries, including South Africa, Ghana, Australia and Peru, and produces gold doré and refined gold for sale to refiners and metals markets. The company also extracts smaller amounts of other minerals alongside its gold output and manages mining and processing activities across its sites.
