Airports of Thailand operates the main international airports serving the country, including the two airports in Bangkok and others in Phuket, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai and Chiang Rai. It runs the terminals, runways and related facilities, and earns money from airlines through landing and passenger charges and from shops, restaurants and other concessionaires that rent space inside its airports. Its customers are airlines, travellers and commercial tenants. The company is based in Bangkok and is majority owned by the Thai government.
