American Tower Corporation owns and operates communications infrastructure, chiefly wireless towers and related sites, which it leases to mobile network operators, broadcasters and other tenants. The company also provides in-building and small-cell systems and manages rooftop and distributed antenna assets. Its customers are telecommunications carriers and other organisations that need space for antennas and network equipment. The business is based in Boston, Massachusetts, and operates across many countries.
