Elia Group operates electricity transmission networks, moving high-voltage power across Belgium and Germany. Its Belgian arm runs the national grid, while its German subsidiary FiftyHertz does the same in that country. The company connects generators, including wind farms offshore, to the grid and delivers power to distribution operators and large industrial users. It also manages cross-border interconnections that link national networks. Elia Group is based in Brussels and serves utilities, industry and grid operators across its home markets.
