Carrefour is a French retail group based in Massy that runs hypermarkets, supermarkets and convenience stores, mainly under its own banner. It sells groceries, fresh food, household goods and general merchandise to everyday shoppers, and also serves small businesses through cash-and-carry outlets. The company operates stores in France and in many other countries, and it offers own-brand products alongside branded goods. Its customers are ordinary households and local traders who shop in its stores and through its online channels.
