Huntington Ingalls Industries is an American military shipbuilding company based in Newport News, Virginia. It designs and builds nuclear-powered aircraft carriers and submarines for the United States Navy at its Newport News Shipbuilding yard, and constructs destroyers, amphibious assault ships and other surface vessels at its Ingalls Shipbuilding yard in Mississippi. The company also provides ship maintenance, repair, refueling and nuclear decommissioning services, serving government and defence customers.
