About Capital Power Corporation

Capital Power Corporation is a North American power producer based in Edmonton, Alberta. It owns and operates electricity generating facilities that run on natural gas and coal, along with renewable assets such as wind and solar farms. The company sells power to utilities, industrial customers and other buyers through long-term contracts and wholesale electricity markets. Its operations are concentrated in Canada and the United States, where it manages a varied fleet of generation plants serving regional power needs.
