Atrium Mortgage Investment Corporation is a Canadian mortgage investment corporation based in Toronto. It provides short-term first mortgages, bridge loans and other mortgage financing to residential and commercial borrowers, largely in Ontario and other parts of Canada. Its customers include property owners, developers and small businesses that need financing which conventional lenders may not provide. The company earns income from the interest charged on its mortgage portfolio, and it operates as a lender rather than as a bank or deposit-taking institution.
